About Cool Arts
Having lived here for over 18 years, I still love the area as much as ever. I never tire of the amazing view of the La Maroma mountain with the the light throughout the day constantly changing. Our beautiful Villa is surrounded by lush gardens where it makes me so happy to put away a few hours gardening and witnessing so many trees, which we planted from seed and nurtured, maturing and fruiting.
We built our villa, La Huerta Ganga (CoolArts) because we love this area, with it’s natural and dramatic beauty. While traditionally the house has been a beautiful nourishing space, in which artists and makers have come, the space is also for hire for group gatherings of every kind. The space can be tailored to your specific requirements: it is a perfect base from which to explore the neighbouring countryside.Cool Arts is a hive of creativity throughout the year offering a range of workshops, retreats and seminars.
In more recent years, we have attracted 'co-working' groups, choosing the spend a few weeks 'Hot-Desking' from these stunning mountains.

The Coast & Beaches
Torre del Mar, the nearest beach, is 30 mins drive. Further west lies Nerja, a pretty seaside town with popular beaches and a lots little shops, bars and good restaurants. Further west are more secluded coves and beaches.
Travel & Distances
Malaga Airport is one hour's drive and Granada Airport is one and a half hour's drive. Car hire is essential.

Local Information
Local shops, restaurants, bars and banks are available in Comares village which is just 3km away. There is a hypermarket at El Ingenio just outside Velez-Malaga.
Comares is a historic Moorish village with panoramic views of countryside and in the distance the Mediterranean sea. Horseriding, cycling, hillwalking and watersports are all available locally. The village of Comares has a newly-opened Zip-line, rock-climbing and mountain biking.
